Dr.

Anchal Yadav

Anchal is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with Alison Funston and specialised in designing generalised synthetic procedures for synthesizing hybrid nanoparticles by offering the flexibility to synthesise different morphologies by tuning the synthesis parameters. The synthesis methods developed can be extended and applied to other hybrid nanoparticle-based systems of different architectures, opening the possibility for their application within a range of rewarding technological applications of these hybrid nanoparticles.

She then uses these hybrid structures as building blocks for self-assembly by forming monolayer, multilayer and superlattices.

By combining the two different class of materials she aims to improve the efficiency of a solar cell.
