The ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science ran from 2017-2024 and made substantial research contributions and technological impact in the fields of excitonic light management & control, emerging solar energy technologies, and excitonic sensors and security systems.

Exciton Science provided students with the invaluable experience of studying and learning in a world-class research organization, significantly enhanced the career opportunity and reputation of many early & mid-career researchers, and fostered a collaborative, inclusive environment through the implementation of best practice in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Centre members have spun out several companies and received numerous grants, awards and prizes, highlighting their outstanding individual and collective performance.
