Babar Shabbir

Babar Shabbir is a Research Fellow in Jacek Jasieniak’s group since March 2020. Before joining Jacek, he was a postdoc fellow in Qiaoliang Bao’s group (June 2017- Feb 2020). In 2016, Babar graduated from the University of Wollongong, Australia with a PhD in Engineering. He is interested in atomically thin optical materials (graphene, 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites etc) for photonic and optoelectronic applications. Currently, he is working on X-ray sensing and detection systems.
